UBC is proud to host the live stream of Julian Aguon’s lecture, “The Poaching of Our Wildest Dreams: Indigenous Peoples and the Law.” This lecture is presented by the UCLA American Indian Studies Center (AISC) and the UCLA Asian American Studies Center (AASC) as part of a UCLA Environmental Justice Initiative Lecture Series for 2013.
UBC is hosting the live stream at both Vancouver and Okanagan campuses.
Julian Aguon is an indigenous Chamoru activist, attorney, and author. His specialty area is international human rights, and while his work is anchored in his home Guam, he actively works to promote the wellbeing of indigenous peoples of the larger Micronesian region and Oceania as a whole. He lives in Tumhom, Guam.
