In this introductory course, learn the principles and processes necessary to measure greenhouse gas emissions. Discussions include reasons why companies measure their carbon footprints, the steps involved in footprint measurement, accounting methods and requirements, greenhouse gas reduction strategies and target setting, carbon credits and carbon neutrality. This course presents de facto international standards including the World Resource Institute’s Greenhouse Gas Protocol and ISO 14064-2.
Note: Introduction to Sustainability (IS600) is recommended.
