For the second year in a row students from Rotterdam, one of Europe’s leading cities in urban sustainability, are coming to see the initiatives and opportunities in Vancouver and at Dudoc.
On April 24th, we are welcoming the business students at our Innovation Centre to show them how, with our European partners, move Vancouver’s sustainability in the building realm forward. In return, we get to hear the exciting projects they are working on.
Here is a snapshot of the themes:
- Sustainable Cities – comparative study between Rotterdam and Vancouver on government and business initiatives
- Bike Economy – influence of cycling on local economies and society along with recommendations for bike manufacturers, retailers, schools and local government based on Dutch bike history and latest developments
- Sustainable Dutch products and services - Fair Phone
- Food Waste – problems and solutions currently implemented by companies in the Netherlands and Canada
