Welcome to the Zero Waste Squad at UBC! As a member of this dedicated team, you will join a network of like-minded students to play an impactful role in contributing to waste management, sustainability, and building a greener future on campus.
Intake Periods
As a member of the Zero Waste Squad, you commit to:
- Attending a one-time volunteer training session
- Volunteering for 3+ shifts per semester
- Attending campus events, activities and outreach initiatives (e.g. Homecoming, Apple Festival, Climate Emergency Week, Food Truck Festivals, etc.)
- Working with a team of like-minded students to empower the UBC community to take climate action and learn about responsible waste diversion
