About Aboriginal Initiatives:
Aboriginal Initiatives at the Centre for Teaching, Learning and Technology provides expertise and support for faculty, staff, and students to develop their capacity to conduct effective discussions on Aboriginal and other socially contentious issues, and to improve classroom and campus environments conducive to student success through professional development workshops, TA training, collaborations, and consultations. In partnership and collaboration with units, departments, faculties, and communities across campus, the unit also initiates and supports curriculum and academic resource development to foster an accurate and developed understanding of Aboriginal histories, cultures, and world views. Many of this unit's resources explore UBC's complex history and location on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territory of the Musqueam people.
Location: Irving K Barber Learning Centre, Seminar (Room 2.22 A/B)
