Wed, October 5, 2016 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM See description. $53 ($46 for registered students -- valid student ID is required) + GST. An introduction to pie making basics. This workshop will teach you how to make the most tender & flakey pastry to compliment the season’s many pie varieties. You will mix, roll, assemble and bake a pie for you to take home as well as enough pastry for your next creation. Master the art of pie making just in time for the upcoming holidays. Please bring your favourite rolling pin & apron as we intend to our hands in the dough! Limit 10 per class.
Location: Please note this workshop will be held at the Doughgirls Comfort Kitchen and Bakeshop in Wesbrook Village (3322 Shrum Lane, Wesbrook Village, UBC).
About the Instructors: Rose Concepcion & Thuy Kelp, are two long-time friends who met working in the culinary industry many years ago. Their shared passion for cooking, baking and all things pertaining to food & hospitality has inspired their careers as chefs including their latest project, Doughgirls Comfort Kitchen & Bakeshop. This passion is evident in their quality statement & continues to be expressed through their many creations that are shared with their customers & students. This is the Doughgirls experience!
