Wed, October 18, 2017 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM BROCK HALL - WEST WING. by donation. Need a bigger bike? Come to the Kids Bike Library (KBL) at the Bike Kitchen to exchange old kids bikes for a better fitting ride. The KBL will run twice during the fall from 3pm – 7pm on September 20th and October 18th, with free kids bike tune-ups from 5pm – 7pm.
How it works:
The KBL is similar to a regular library, but with bikes! At the KBL, kids and youth can come trade a bike they have outgrown for one their size (includes bikes with 20” wheels or smaller). Unlike a regular library, you can keep the bike for as long as you need it without having to worry about renewing.
Access to the Kids Bike Library is free for AMS Bike Co-op members.* Don’t have a bike? No problem! We also provide bikes to children and youth by-donation, even if you don’t have one to swap. If you’re interested in swapping a kids bike, just bring it to the Bike Kitchen from 10am – 6pm on Wednesdays and ask about the Kids Bike Library.
Please note that all bikes in the Kids Bike Library are donations from various sources. Each bike is safety checked at the Bike Kitchen. That being said, the Bike Co-op cannot guarantee the quality of any donated bike.
*If the membership fee presents a financial barrier, please email outreach@bikecoop.ca to request that it be waived
