National WWF Sweater Day will be held on Thursday, February 5th, and Common Energy UBC has plenty of ways to help you get involved and informed! The main purpose of Sweater Day is to urge people to wear a sweater instead of turning up the heat. We hope this initiative can be spread to as many people on the UBC campus as possible in order to raise awareness about energy consumption.
During the daytime, there will be an information booth hosted by CE and BC Hydro right outside the sub from 11-3, come join us for energy trivia and a chance to be entered into the grand prize draw at our photobooth, just be sure to wear your sweater!
We will also be hosting a knitting workshop in the Global Lounge from 5-7 led by the Common Energy Tangible Solutions team in collaboration with the UBC Knitting Club. Local sweet treats will be available, along with a presentation held by a UBC Sustainability professional, see you there!
