Ocean acidification - the changes in ocean chemistry being driven by the burning of fossil fuels - has been described as global warming's "evil twin". This Roundtable will bring together scientists who study a variety of marine ecosystems to compare the known and unknown effects of ocean acidification, with the objectives of establishing a global research network, synthesizing existing approaches, building a set of general predictions, and providing a blueprint for testing these key predictions.
