You may have heard that shareable digital icons are being issued in classrooms to recognize student achievement on a granular level. The Open Badges UBC Lunch & Learn series will provide us an opportunity to discuss this educational innovation together. Learning pathways for badging is a growing area and will emerge through the process of defining and developing a badging structure.
Badge learning pathways provide people the ability to choose the path of their learning based on their own, “personal agency, to define steps that may seem more like hops, and to think about ways to do things that aren’t sequential or even seemingly rational.”
This Lunch & Learn will discuss the different kinds of learning pathways and how each affects a learners choice.
