Tuesday, March 15, 2016 - 16:00
Tue, March 15, 2016 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM STUDENT UNION BUILDING (SUB). Hosted by the AMS Bike Co-op, this lab will show people a different side of sustainability in relation to cycling. A lot of people don't consider what happens to bikes when they can no longer be used for transportation or they think it has to be thrown out as soon as it becomes obsolete. In reality, a lot of the parts can be reused and a very small proportion can be.
We'll be asking people to name a part of the bike and then choose the right tool to take the part off of the bike. The goal is to show people how even after they cannot be used for transportation anymore, bikes can still be sustainable.
Location will be the North Plaza just outside of The Bike Kitchen.
