This public event is in conjunction with a workshop on the emerging body of research tracking the implications of global trade for the control of carbon/greenhouse gases. Currently, countries are each responsible for only their own emissions, but trade may mask other global impacts and, at the limit, provides opportunities to either leverage or evade responsibility.
