Valid ID card required. | Child $7. Do you want to become a citizen scientist and help the scientific community learn more about bird behaviour and habit? Join us at UBC Botanical Garden as we search the Garden for exciting birds and listen for their melodious calls. This event is family friendly and great for beginner birders.

This tour will focus on identifying common birds in UBC Botanical Garden and the Vancouver Area and will highlight:

• Bird shapes – how to identify bird families by their shape
• Where different birds are found
• How to create bird-friendly habitats around your home
• What do cats have to do with birds?

Notes: This walking tour will take place outdoors. Please dress for the weather, including footwear for all terrains. Bring your binoculars for a closer look at birds. Free Visitor Parking for 3 hours, provided you enter your license plate.

Cancellation Policies: A $5.00 processing fee per attendee is charged if cancellation notice is less than 7 days prior to your scheduled program. There is no fee for transferring the registration to another person. Cancellations can be made by contacting garden.programs@ubc.ca. In the event that a program is cancelled by UBC Botanical Garden, we will offer the option of transferring to another program or obtaining a full refund.
