This course is part of the UBC Future Global Leaders Pre-University Program for high school students ages 15-18, and is offered at UBC Vancouver. This program offers the option to stay in a UBC student residence during the program or commute daily.

Learn about the profession of engineering, and the disciplines of chemical, civil, computer, electrical, environmental and mechanical engineering. Prepare for success by practising and developing key skills in technical problem solving and engineering design, ethical decision-making, teamwork and communicating to diverse audiences.

This course is ideal if you’re interested in engineering, architecture or applied science.

Your instructor
ATAOLLAH (Ata) KHEYRANDISH, PhD, is a lecturer and postdoctoral research fellow at the University of British Columbia. Ata has taught an introductory course in chemical engineering, as well as a course on water treatment for graduate students at UBC. Before joining UBC, Ata worked as a chemical engineer finding solutions to environmental problems.
