Thu, June 5, 2014 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM IRVING K. BARBER LEARNING CENTRE. Free. You are invited to learn more about LOCR, the Library’s new online course reserves system.
This application was developed by Library staff and programmers to meet the demands of our campus community. This is a big accomplishment. Amongst Canadian universities, UBC Library is now uniquely well positioned: we are able to offer our course reserves service to all courses at both campuses, with live enrollment data, streamlined staff workflows, effective copyright management and support for cohort-based education programs. We will touch on the various factors that led us to develop LOCR, as well as some of the challenges encountered along the way, key features of the new system and future plans.
It’s an interesting story, and we hope you can join us!
Light refreshments will be provided.
