Opening reception and public presentation: Liu Scholar Ashli Akins, and Quechua youth, Lisbeth Chavez Monge and Adrian Jimenez Suma will discuss current changes faced by Quechua highland communities due to unsustainable tourism and development in the region, as as well as local community responses to globalization.
Free entry, with food and refreshments available. Fair-trade handwoven Andean textiles for sale. 100% of proceeds go to Mosqoy, a charitable organization that fosters educational and cultural rights in the Peruvian Andes.
