Dr Jonas Berking, from the Physical Geography Department of Freie Universität Berlin, will be hosted by the BRAES Institute as part of his sabbatical leave from May 22 - June 9, 2017. His visit is funded by the University Alliance for Sustainability, of which UBC is a member.
Dr. Berking is junior leader of research group (A-3) Watermanagment. His main research interests are landscapes and waterscapes, with a strong focus on historical and ancient water management systems and what they can tell us about climate change, technical functionalities and future prospects for sustainable water management.
Dr. Berking will have an office in FIP 237 during his stay. Anyone wishing to meet with Dr. Berking is invited to drop by his office or contact him directly by email at: jonas.berking@fu-berlin.de He is eager to meet with as many faculty, researchers and others as appropriate.
