Dr. Rehan Sadiq presents “Performance Assessment and Benchmarking of Water Infrastructure”
Factors including climate change, population growth, urbanization and extreme events like droughts, water pollution, new regulations and aging infrastructure are the main drivers compelling water utilities to manage their assets and services differently. Join Dr. Rehan Sadiq, Associate Dean of UBC Okanagan’s School of Engineering, for an engaging presentation on the importance of thinking about the urban water cycle holistically vs. focusing on individual segments. The “one water” strategic approach to managing water infrastructure in urban environments has become a guiding principle for many international organizations. Dr. Sadiq’s presentation on Performance Assessment and Benchmarking will help contextualize the one-water approach for small to medium-sized municipalities working in a regional setting.
