At UBC, we are establishing sustainable food systems that improve our community’s health and wellbeing. We do this by operating Canada’s first Fair Trade campus, growing and purchasing local produce, and using food scraps to make compost for our gardens. By using the campus as a living laboratory, students, staff and faculty members, our food service providers are testing ways to making our food systems more sustainable.
