As the world’s leading group of visual artists supporting the environment, Artists for Conservation’s mission is to support wildlife and habitat conservation and environmental education through art that celebrates nature. AFC unites the talent and passion of the world’s most gifted and well-known nature artists and spearheads an international artistic movement to inspires individuals and organizations to preserve and sustain our natural heritage by. AFC’s membership spans 30 countries. AFC’s annual juried exhibit, now in its 13th year, is the premiere conservation-themed art exhibit of its kind and serves as a platform for artists from around the world to champion the conservation causes they are most passionate about.

Since 2011, with the establishment of the Artists for Conservation Festival, AFC’s primary means of achieving its mission is through the organization of multi-media and multicultural arts event that combines a rich program of visual art, music and performing arts, film and First Nations cultural presentations. In addition to its annual Vancouver Festival, AFC has regular events in the USA and China, publishes a series of annual art books, and environmental calendar and has produced three films to-date. AFC has also offered lecture series’, film screenings, musical evenings and art and environmentally themed symposia. Notably, in 2015, AFC envisioned and declared “International Bear Day” at the Beaty Biodiversity Museum, as annual cultural event to celebrate bears.
