This project evaluates the environmental impact of concrete sidewalks in the City of Vancouver, explores alternative materials that meet performance requirements for sidewalks, and compares their costs with traditional Portland Cement (OPC) concrete. The findings from this study will assist the City of Vancouver to prioritize and initiate pilot projects that focus on reducing carbon emissions through the use of green concrete solutions.
