Description: This event is not just a lecture, it is also a discussion forum. The first 30 minutes will feature a short lecture on how to teach in an immersive online environment through visual cognition. More specifically, this lecture will illustrate how visual elements in a 3D animated virtual world can hook students’ interests to facilitate their learning. During the one hour discussion time, participants will have the opportunity to try out the virtual learning environment and take part in a forum where ideas and views can be exchanged on the benefits and/or disadvantages for teaching and learning in such an environment. The facilitators are subject specialists in math education, language education, music education, and art education.
