Cette semaine a pour but de sensibiliser aux 17 objectifs de développement durable. Ouverture d'une friperie, sensibilisation à l'achat local, distribution de repas et de collation gratuits, concours pour améliorer le tri des déchets, causerie sur le thème de l'égalité. En collaboration avec le comité Environnement, des activités auront lieu toute la semaine et notamment, le 8 mars.

SDG Week Mission
NSCC will host a College-wide virtual sustainability mission. The mission will challenge students to seeks on sustainability features on their campus and in their communities, connect with others and identify ways that they can make a difference. Students who participate will have the opportunity to win a $25 grocery gift card to support student food security.

Fighting Student Food Insecurity
During SDG Week Canada, Nova Scotia Community College is focusing heavily of SDG 2: Zero Hunger. During March 6-10 a number of NSCC locations will be offering $5 lunch specials to being awareness to on-campus food insecurity and the advance SDG 2. The initiative will be support by education and resources to build a greater understanding of food insecurity in post-secondary institutions.

Global Goals Jam Canada Winter 2023
Let’s jam for a better planet and win awards worth $4500 from March 10-12. The Global Goals Jam is a 3-day weekend challenge where participants work in a team, choose a topic (a Global Challenge), and together come up with an innovative idea to tackle it using design thinking and lean/agile methodologies, supported by expert mentors, creating a pitch and presenting it to a panel of judges for the chance to win a cash prize. This weekend is a great opportunity to build a variety of skills, learn design and business-building methodologies, and have fun while working to improve the world.
